Envisioning & Creating Dimensions; Nurturing Self Sufficiency

17th Oct'20, the first day of Navratras

It was a day of gratification for all at Bringing Smiles, that on 17th Oct'20, the first day of Navratras, 22 visually impaired young Children  from Janta Rehabilitation Centre, an NGO devoted to visually impaired persons, came to our Center fresh and with "Expectations of a Better enabled Future". As per norms we first scanned them for Tempr and sanitised their hands. A Smartphone with Jio Sim Card, winter wear Sweater, socks, masks, Blind Man's stick were handed over. The smartphone has come as a boon to boost their academic carrier as well as functional knowledge. Most of these young children are studying for Awards like Graduation or Masters.

Simple courtesies like breakfast was served by our volunteers in attendance.

A Team from NAB in West Delhi was also invited to demonstrate use of Braille enabled tools for  taking notes and reading currency.

It was a pleasure to see them using their newly acquired phones to  hail Ola Taxis and display the much needed Independence.
